Subject: Watch the Total Lunar Eclipse Tonite...........at a Clear Sky Near you!

Dear Friend,

Tonite's Lunar Ecliipse which is visible all over Canada and North America is going to be quite an event.

It will actually begin in the early hours of  Tuesday Morning, between 1:32am to 5:01am EST.
That is, past the midnite hour on Monday, the morning of the 21st of December.

If the sky above you is clear, then by all means check it out:

What's really cool is that when the Eclipse starts, the Moon is full, and you will see only a few backgrounds stars
and planets. However as it progresses, and the Moon is in the Earth's shadow, thousands of stars will appear.

While you can observe the Eclipse naked eye (and it is safe to do so btw, since this is a Lunar Eclipse and not
a Solar Eclipse) you will see more interesting details by using either a pair of Binoculars, or a Telescope which
will reveal even more subtle changes.

This is quite a unique event, and the opportunity is here and now:

Here again is basic timetable of the event tonite:  All times based on EST.

Moon enters Earth's shadow:  (1:32am)

Moon within Earths shadow
and total eclipse starts:             (2:40am)

Moon into Earths shadow:       (3:16am)

Total eclipse ends:                  (5:01am)

Here's hoping for Clear Skies!

Ray Khan

PS for those tracking Santa with Norad, no worries, the jollly old elf won't be crossing the Lunar Surface tonite..........!
