First off, a very happy 4th of July to all our American Friends.

They call it “Independence Day”.

I think it’s fair to say that most people are anything but independent
today.
They want the state to provide them with all kinds of support .
To the tune of 350 billion in Canada at least.

For example, I have a friend that owns a motel on Manitoulin Island.
Do you think she can find any employees to work for her this Summer.
Nope. They are taking the Summer off and collecting the monthly 2K
And posting selfies on Instagram while on Vacay. It’s the same with many
other
Small business owners.

Pure Grit and hard work seems to have gone the way of the dinosaurs.

I had a good chuckle this morning while reading the paper while enjoying my
breakfast on the deck with a nice cup of coffee, overlooking the garden.

Some wag has written a book titled: “Trump and Churchill: Defenders of
Western
Civilization.

Churchill was a man for the times;

Trump is a man who is running out of time.

It’s still a long way to the
US elections so we are all “Biden” our time.

Just for the record: I’m not fond of either Trump or Biden.
Who could be worse? Hillary perhaps? Just saying.

Regardless of who wins the US election, the people lose. Why?
Good leaders are hard to find these days.
