Subject: This ones a real Plonker, mate
Hello Friend,
A Plonker?
Being from England originally, and having made Canada my home, at very young age, when my
parents immigrated in 1970, occassionally I will use the odd British slang expression in conversation,
so my apologies in advance, if you don't always understand what I might be saying.
In the interest of clarification today, I will explain what a Plonker is here: It simply means foolish.
The number of telescope retailers in Canada are not that many, and the other day I heard about one
of them, who have actually been in business for about a year, bragging that they
had "190 years of combined astronomy experience", and that's why they know better.
Ok, but exactly what the hell does that mean?
Is it good experience? or Bad experience?
Plonker: That's what it means.
Look, we are now entering our 28th year of business at Khan Scopes (hard to believe it's been that long)
and that's a fact. We've been able to do that by providing expertise, a good selection of products, at reasonable prices
and serving our customers to the best of our ability.
We know telescopes. Period. We live and breathe them. Everyday.
While others carry other such items such as selling plastic model kits, eyewear, toys, and other paraphernalia,
I have resisted this, because we only specialize in selling one thing: And that's telescopes and accessories.
Full stop. Period.
And that is what makes us experts in this field.
Clear Skies,
Ray "Telescopes only" Khan
PS And kudos to Canada's Olympics teams. They showed up in spades! Go Canada..............!!
