Subject: The lazy man’s way to astroimaging

The Bain of astro imaging

many years ago I was attending the Annual astronomy Star Party at Mount Forest , Ontario.

It was the early days of astro-imaging and a company called SBIG had just released their brand new CCD imaging camera  the ST-4.

My friend John , an IBM senior engineer was in charge of ensuring that the laptop computer and the camera would connect properly so we could focus the CCD image onto the laptop screen.

This process took several hours. Essentially we were Guinea pigs who had to figure this out as we went along.

It was literally 4am by the time we figured it out and the sun was rising shortly .

At that point I made a decision to stick to visual astronomy after losing a whole nights observing fiddling with tech.

Fast forward to 2023 and thanks to tech, we now have a telescope system available that has the ccd camera built into it and one no longer has to deal with many of the arduous details involved in taking Astro images

The astronomy gods have spoken at last ! Listened to the pleas of of the those who want to take astro images and deal with the mundane details of which their are many  .

The Unistellar Equinox is your introduction to the easiest way to start astroimaging without dealing with the frustrations that can come with obtaining quality astro images  .
