It’s quite a puzzling world these days.


Every year I get together with my buddy Rob and a group of friends. at a
giant Super Bowl party.


Originally it was a guys only party, and the ladies were miffed because
they did not want to miss out on the great grub on offer (Rob’s a gourmet
in the kitchen) Beer and Wine offerings.
So now they are included too. They even pretend to like watching the game.


All is good.


It was a great game this year for sure; nice to see the 49’ers earn the
big win the hard way.


Then the half-time show.


A blatant display of rampant supercharged sexuality by J. Lo and Shakira.


Now you can bet every guy’s eyes were glued to the giant tv screen.


Think about it though: What’s the message being sent here?


It’s one of blatant sexuality and sends a mixed message: Is it hands off
or boobs and booty
Saying “Look at me!”.


I don’t have a problem with J Lo or Shakira. I admire their fitness and
the hard work they put in to stay in tremendous shape and put on a very
energetic show.


That surely ain’t easy, so kudos to them.


The women in the room I was with certainly felt a twang of self
consciousness.
Perhaps being middle aged, they didn’t quite measure up?


All that aside, it really was not the best message to be sending to young
children who might have been watching the game.


But here is an interesting point: It was likely men that made the decision
to run with this whole thing.


Yes, that’s right. Men who know what men like and want.


And guess what? I bet you there was a surge of internet surges to learn
pole-dancing that evening after the event by ladies everywhere. (A couple
of my female friends have already confessed to this, so I ain’t making it
up).


In fact, when I suggested to a young friend of mine that pole dancing could
be a lucractive add on career to her yoga lessons, she was appalled at the
very thought.


I can’t imagine why?
