Subject: Sunday Sermon: "Thou shalt not be a wimp"

Hello Friend,

I'm reading a biography of
The late, great actor Steve Mcqueen.

You remember the chase scenes in the movie "Bullitt " filmed in California?

Memorable right? You bet.

Well let me tell you McQueen in just about every acting role he did, stole scene after scene,
movie after movie.

Would you be surprised to learn that McQueen had a rough childhood? He was constantly beaten up
by his stepfather and left home at age 16.

He also served in the military.  Honourably discharged.

Now, let's look at our society today.

Many Young men  (and women) instead of pulling themselves up by their bootstraps and getting on with life
are a bunch of crybabies and create movements to call attention to their plight.

Here is the narrative: "I had a rough life, boo hoo, and this happened, and that happened" and not I  can't move
forward and get shit done".  But I can post it on #Instagram or Facebook and become an overnight celebrity
hopefully, and people can go really around my bullshit".

I am not talking about matters like sexual abuse, which are horrific and can take a lifetime
of resolve. The #metoo movement has validity.    Until  some of the proponents make falsified
claims against men in the name of the movement and dilute the value of it for all women.

Yep. That happens.

So Mcqueen pulled himself up by his bootstraps, got on with life and went on to achieve greatness
in life. Sadly, he left us all too soon.

And sad to say, but all too soon these great offers from Khan Scope  DailyDeals
are going to be ending.

PS The disaster of a weekend in Toronto, had me getting up at 5 am to get on the road to avoid
all the predicted BS.  When will it ever end?  Seven buses were colliding on Dufferin street. Sheesh!
