Subject: Struck dead by a meteorite
Hello Friend,
You will be glad to know that the odds of being struck by a meteorite are
approximately 700,000 to 1 in your lifetime.
Fortunately, most meteorites burn up in the atmosphere before they
hit the ground.
But like any big lottery with lousy odds, eventually someone is going to win it.
Or in this case, lose their life.
Seems a bus driver in India, was taking a lunch break, and then
was struck by a meteorite.
Mr. V. Kamaraj was spotted lying unconscious next to
a two-foot wide crater, with serious facial injuries.
Hewas pronounced dead on the way to
the hospital via ambulance.
Authorities were initially baffled as to how the man died.
Finding a two food wide crater, near his body, indicated
something rather unusual had happened.
Unfortunately, he also finds himself with the distinction of being
the first human in recorded history to be killed by a meteorite.
His family will receive the equivalent of about $1000 US
in compensation. (note: I have never seen a "struck dead by
meteorite "claus in any insurance policy, have you?)
Listen up: If you own a Nexstar 6 SE or Nexstar 8 Se or Nexstar
evolution series telescope, then I have some good news for you.
We just received a shipment of these brand new equatorial wedges

Which means that you can now do some serious astrophotography
with those models of Celestron telescopes.
The bad news? These are in short supply, so act now while we
have them.
