People that make a Difference!

Some of us can recall a teacher that made a difference in our lives
even many years later. I recall a teacher by the name of Mrs Green
who was my 3rd grade teacher, when I was growing up in London,
England.
Back in those days, you could actually be invited and visit a
teacher at their home. (heaven forbid that should happen today!)
She was an artist, and painted pictures of some of her students as
a hobby, and to practise her skills. I can't exactly recall.
She was also a very positive teacher. That is why I remember her

I had the pleasure of recently meeting another fine teacher,
from Miramichi, New Brunswick, by the name of Adam Hayward
Mr Hayward was inspired by his students, in a middle school, in
a rural area.
One of the students in class told him one day, when asked to draw
pictures of the night sky constellations, that "this was boring,
and sucked".
Instead of sending the student to the principals office, lol...
he took it as a challenge and instead created a hands on Amateur
astronomy group.
The Result? The Miramichi Star Troopers! These kids are now
using telescopes and educating other schools and students
on the Subject of Astronomy and the night sky.
The entire school has only about 100 students, and about 15 are
active members of this group.
Kudos to Mr Hayward! May there be many more teachers like him...
