If you live in the GTA (Greater Toronto area), then you might find either of these events to be useful.

The First is a FREE Learn how to use your telescope clinic. This event is sponsored by the Toronto Centre
of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC).

The event will be held on Saturday January 19th in Richmond Hill, at the David Dunlap Observatory.

Members of the Club will be on hand to show you a few tricks of the trade.  Staff from Khan Scope Centre
will also be on hand to assist you with your telescope questions.

LEARN HOW TO DO ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY
with Dr. Ian Shelton/Dr. Tuba Kotkay

If you want to learn the basics of Astrophotography, then I can think of no better person to teach you than Dr. Ian Shelton.
Yep, he is the dude that discovered SuperNova 1987a! The Mother of all Supernovas.

This course is being taught in Richmond Hill, and Starts Friday January 18th.
