I recently sent out a note about observing, and got some interesting feedback

Here are a few comments from customers:

"I built a backyard observatory, and that makes it a lot easier to observe, especially in the winter"

Great idea!

another one:

"Well, I spent 30 minutes just lining up my viewfinder, then still could not find anything, got frustrated
and gave up" (newbie))

suggestion: consider buying a better quality auxiliary finderscope, that might be easier to use.
The Rigel Quik finder or the Telrad

and...........

"There is far too much light pollution to see anything worthwhile where I live, so why bother?" When
I go camping up north, I will take my telescope with me. That's once or twice a year".

Response: Well, actually that is not entirely true. You may not be able to see faint deep sky objects,
but you can certainly see several Planets, and some brighter objects, constellations as well.
