   If you are old enough to remember the old Batman series from the 1960's starring Adam West,
as campy as it was, you know that one of the best characters in that particular show was none
other than Batgirl, (Yvonne Craig).

    Sadly, actress Yvonne Craig passed away yesterday,  fighting another type of villain, cancer
which she had battled for the past 2 years.

   Her mind fought on, but in the end her body gave up.

She held her own in that Batgirl outfit, and of course so did  her trusty  Batbike.

Those were the days.

PS One thing I always wondered about: how come it was always conveniently cloudy whenever the  BatSignal
     from Commissioner Gordon's roof was projected to the sky.  Holy bat blunder!
