Subject: Rob Ford, Late Mayor of Toronto had a premonition he would die young
Hello Friend,
Have you ever received a gift from someone that had you scratching your head?
Last year my daughter Danielle gifted me a book entitled: "Ford Nation".
It's a book about the late Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford and also his brother Doug Ford,
and written by the both of them.
I thought it was an odd gift because I hadn't discussed the Ford brothers with her at any time
that I can recall.
I am interested in politics in because: Patriarchy! (Just kidding) .
Many people disliked Rob Ford, for many different reasons.
He sure put Toronto on the Map. I recall when I was in a small town, in California and they
asked me where I was from, I mentioned Toronto, and they knew "that's the place you have that crazy mayor".
He was honest about one thing though. He said this on his appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show.
"I wasn't elected to be perfect....I'm just a normal, average, hard-working politician, and I guarantee that if you
call me, I will go to your front door".
And he wasn't lying either.
Ford would often surprise people by actually showing up at their front door to help them solve their problems
if they called the Mayor's office.
Most unusual for any politician to do that. Sure he had many issues and personal struggles, but I believe that
in his heart he cared about the city of Toronto.
Strange as it may seem, Rob Ford predicted that he would die young. He said: "I'm gonna kick the bucket early, Jones".
Now that his brother is running as Premier for the Ontario PC Party, it seems that
a lot of people are equating him as the "Trump of the North".
No one is calling anyone: "Crooked Kathleen" so far, but in politics all is fair it seems.
The Late US President Richard ("I am not a crook") Nixon is looking much like an altar boy these days.
Now, unlike some politicians I am gonna tell you the truth about a telescope here:
