Hello Friend,

You'll recall that deer carcass lying near the front of our dock, on the frozen ice.

Well, it seems the coyotes/wolves are quite happy to be coming back each night and
clean it to the bone.

Usually about 2:30am we can hear the howling, and yipping.

I had wanted to go out and take a look at Comet Lovejoy, which is now visible
in the night sky, close to Orion and in the constellation Lepus.

Best of all, it's a binocular object right now.

But thoughts of being the next meal for the wolves/coyotes crossed my mind,
and the fact it was bloody cold, was enough incentive not too.

Now of course, wolves and coyotes don't generally attack humans.

Unless they are really flipping hungry of course, and then it might be
opportunistic on their part.

And I don't want to find out the hard way!

However, I am not that easily deterred. so I'll pull out the binoculars and
take a look next clear night.

Here's a chart to locate the comet if you are interested in taking a look.

You can use a pair of 10 x 50 binoculars, or something similar.
