Subject: Rest in peace, Leonard Nimoy
Hello Friend,
Space the final frontier....
It's a sad day indeed for trekkies and Star Trek fans everywhere.
Actor Leonard Nimoy passed away today, at the age of 83.
Of course you might recall where Spock dies in the original Star Trek movie, where he saves the USS Enterprise and fixes the main engines, and is later sent to the planet that was created by Khan after the genesis machine was activated:
Spock's Death - Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan
(Just for the record, that particular Khan was no relative of mine!)
Several years ago, Leonard Nimoy did an advertisement for Celestron, promoting the Classic Celestron 8 telescope.
You can see it here:
Part of the deal was, I was once told by someone at Celestron years ago, is that in exchange for doing the advert,
Leonard Nimoy received a Classic Celestron 8 telescope.
So perhaps he was a also an amateur astronomer as well.
As Spock would be apt to say: "Live long and prosper".
Clear Skies,
Ray Khan
