Subject: Observe today's Solar Eclipse!

Hello Friend,

If the weather co-operates, many of you across Canada will be able to observe the Solar Eclipse today.

While this will not be a total Eclipse (that only occurs when the Moon passes directly in line between
the Earth and Sun, and covers the entire surface of the Sun) it will take a rather large chunk of the Sun
Out of view.
And if you are lucky, you may see a Ring of Sunlight (or "annulus" ) as well, again depending on your
location.

Again, depending on your time zone, the event will either start in the late afternoon or early evening.

Now, a word of warning: Do not observe the Sun directly without proper eye protection.
Solar Eclipse glasses are the safest way to observe the event.

If you plan to photograph it, then use a proper Solar filter.

Good Luck and Clear Skies!
