Hello Folks,

Well, here we are at the beginning of August already, and halfway through the Summer!
Do hope you are getting out to enjoy the night skies.
I had the pleasure of doing some observing last night,  and pointing out some of the Constellations
in the skies to my daughter  Chantal, with a green laser pointer.  It wa really cool to see the Teapot
Sagittarius,  the Summer Triangle,  and the Milky Way amongst others.  When you observe from  suburban skies
on a regular basis,you really get spoilt under a dark sky, with no Moon.  We were treated to a few bright meteors as well.
We ran out of time, before checking out Vesta, but we'll save that for another night.
