Skymaster Binoculars from Celestron: Find yourself a comet!
On October 24th I was able to spot Comet SWAN from my balcony in downtown Toronto with my Celestron 80mm binoculars. It's not every night you get to see a 4th-magnitude comet! Within the last 72 hours Comet SWAN has jumped two magnitudes in brightness. From a dark-sky site its head appears about as big as the full Moon in binoculars, and will certainly be naked-eye visible. Comet SWAN is a very blue-green, gas-rich, dust-poor comet, the most interesting comet to pass our way since Comet Pojmanski back in March. The comet can be found between the constellations of Bootes, Corona Borealis and Hercules in the west after sunset. Look for Comet SWAN with Celestron binoculars!
