I think it's fair to say that The International Year of Astronomy in
Canada has so far been a resounding Success!
Well over 1 million, (and counting) Canadians experience a
"Galileo Moment's" this past year. That is to say they observed an
astronomical object through a telescope. A big "Thank You" to
all of you who participated in such events whether on your own or via your
local astronomy club.
A lot of effort put forth by amateur and professional astronomers
worldwide has also made this a very successful International event.
Gathering together with friends and families over the holidays represents
another opportunity over the holidays to continue this experience.
