          Imagine a mount head  that weights only 27 lbs. (12.3kg)  and will accept a payload of 60 lbs. (27.3 kg)!

It's a real dilemma for a lot of amateur astronomers.

They want an equatorial mount that will do the job,
but does not require them to be Arnold Schwarzanegger to lug it around.

And the mistake I would often see made, is to keep the weight down, astroimagers especially
would undergun the mount and that creates even bigger headaches, in terms of tracking and
autoguiding.

They wanted to avoid a heavy duty (and heavyweight) equatorial mount, and I can understand that.

PS The price is right in line with other competitor mounts, which of course are much heavier.
