Subject: Is your telescope misbehavin'?

Hello Friend,

I've been in the telescope business for over 35 years now.

 Even I can't believe it.

Where did the time go?

Sometimes I really wonder.  It all seemed to have gone by so quickly.

I have been busy preparing to celebrate the 30 years that Khan Scope Centre has been in business this year
and that is why I have been a bit quiet lately.

I have seen this hobby grow over the past several decades.

First the Dobsonian telescope revolution started by John Dobson, a former monk

Then the "GOTO" revolution came along,  officially launched by Celestron, and carried
forward by Meade instruments, creating great instruments for amateur astronomers
by both companies.

Small companies like Astrophysics flourished;  today we have a plethora of choices.

There has never been a better time to be in this hobby!

One of the joys of of using your telescope is actually taking it outside and using it.

I know this sounds simple, but you would be surprised at how many people think they
would like to go out observing, but don't actually do it.

Nope, they get frustrated by the technology of their instruments sometimes.

Or distracted with the latest series on Netlfix. (Hey, I have been caught in that trap too).

Or they forget how to use it, or something goes wrong with the telescope mechanically
or optically and they just say the hell with it, and can't be bothered.

Don't let this happen to you.

If you have an issue with your instrument, then try to get it resolved.

If you get stuck, we are always here to help you.

We will get you up and running as soon as possible.

Just don't give up.

You don't know what you are missing: the night sky is the greatest show on earth.

It's magical, it really is.

Now that Spring is really here, you will want to get out and start observing
again, and be re-motivated and inspired by the night sky.
