Highly recommend that you update all the firmware on your Celestron products
as noted in the list below.

You will get better performance, and run into less issues with your instruments and

The prerequisites to perform these updates are:

• PC connected to the Internet
• USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 port
• The programming cable included with the NexStar hand control
• USB to RS-232 adapter (optional accessory from Khanscope- 1800 580 7160 or 416 783 4140 or email: info@khanscope.com
• For StarSense updates, a Mini USB cable

StarSense Update with New CFM
Our new StarSense AutoAlign technology has undergone several fixes and improvements since it began shipping this year. We recommend all users update their StarSense, even if they have not experienced problems. Please see the release notes on the download page for a list of all the changes and future enhancements we're currently working on.

This update significantly improves autoguiding performance in our CGEM and CGEM DX mounts, fixing the "dec guiding," or "dec cogging" issues reported by some users.

Skyris CCD Cameras New Drivers, Firmware and Software
Per your feedback, we have improved Skyris' stability in USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 using both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems. As an added bonus, the framerate now automatically corresponds to the exposure when exposure time is the limiting factor.
