Solar Activity Flares!


Yes, that pun was intended! Wow, what a week it has been for Solar observers..
If you own any kind of Solar filter or Solar scope this past week was a beehive of activity on the Sun.
If you don’t, well now is the time to get one!
Starting Monday, I was alerted to a rather large loop on the Sun, as I was calling a customer, he just happened to be in his backyard with his blackberry, utilizing his newly acquired Lunt Solar 60mm telescope and was observing this firsthand. No doubt his Lawyer was playing hookey from work, or getting the legal secretaries to do all the work, so he could use his new Lunt Scope. I don’t blame him.
We won’t mention his name though, in case he might be reading this..
Of course, I pulled out my Lunt 60mm and checked it out. It was incredible!
We will be posting some images on our website later this week taken by customes, so be sure to check them out.
