Subject: Here's how to cure astronomy boredom fast
Hello Friend,
Maybe you've gotten bored with your hobby of astronomy lately.
Perhaps it's just not as fun.
Here is a way to revejunate your interest real fast.
Just attend a Star Party. Any Star Party. They are all over the place in North America
and the world for that matter.
Find one close to you and just go.
There are still a whole bunch mo' of them coming up.
I'm at Starfest right now, in Mount Forest, Ontario. Canada. It's this weekend.
You are welcome to come. there is still time!
You'll meet a whole bunch of interesting people.
For example, I ran into a customer today, and it was really great to see her.
The last time I saw her was a year ago at Starfest.
I was going to give her a hug, but she was hot and sweaty,
and tired from a long drive, and then there was a road detour, she relied on her GPS totally (a big mistake: Always carry
a local map).
Then I asked her if she would help us erect our tent.
She kindly obliged, I handed her a bottle of water to cool down afterwards, and then she said that she "felt used".
See what I mean?
Where else are you going to meet such fun people??
Only at a Star Party. That's where.
Glenn Slover, a Starfest event volunteer, for many years, requested that I invite you to come
and he added "regardless of the weather".
Now the weather is actually looking pretty good for the next few days.
Need any more excuses?
Though not.
Clear Skies,
Ray Khan
PS Ok, I promise I won't hug you, unless you insist, just please take a shower first ;)
PPS A first at Starfest! The showers are FREE. Yup. You no longer have to put a loonie in for hot water.
What A BONUS.
