Subject: Happy New Year! What's ahead for 2023?

As we enter the year of 2023, there is much too look forward too as an amateur astronomer .

The plethora of equipment choices for the amateur astronomer are unrivalled.

You and I have never had it better.

I am primarily a visual observer and have dabbled in astro-imaging. Usually when

there is an auspicious event like a Comet or Solar Eclipse.

It's easier than ever today to take fantastic astrophotos and Smartphone technology

has certainly contributed to that.

Finding objects in the night sky has become easier than ever with technology such

as Starsense by Celestron or Starsense Autoalign.

It's never been easier to connect with the night sky than it is now.

You can download an app on to your phone and find objects and identify them immediately.

Interesting to note also, that more women, young and old are pursuing the hobby.

Minorities are also catching on to the joys of amateur astronomy .

So many changes and indeed we are fortunate.

So what will 2023 bring? More equipment advances such as:

The NEW Skywatcher CQ350 Pro mount which is now available .

Wishing you and yours all the very best, in health and happiness for 2023.
