Subject: Guy gives up on dating, buys telescope instead
Hello Friend,
It's always interesting when you run into someone you have not seen in many years and in this case it was a Khanscope
customer I bumped into in our retail store.
In fact, the last time I saw Bill several years ago (not is real name) he was on looking for a "serious long-term relationship
so he could settle down."
Bill told me that he tried online dating, and had no success.
He shared a few dating stories, and in the end just got frustrated with "online dating bs ".
People were flaking on dates, or not returning calls for example
He also mentioned that he was a member of an astronomy club, and no luck there either.
Warning: Astronomy clubs are an excellent way to meet people of both sexes and make new friends.
Hitting on members of the opposite sex is a dreadful idea.
Bill told me that since the holidays were coming, he was going to treat himself to a new telescope, which is why he was in
the store.
We talked about various instruments, pro's and con's the whole shebang. We agreed since he would be Astro-imaging.
a good mount would be crucial.
Since he already owned an older Meade 10" SCT telescope with very basic motor drive, and was happy with the optics.
I recommended the Celestron CGX Mount

would be a good choice, and with a dovetail bar, we could mount his 10" Meade optical tube on to the CGX mount in a jiffy.
Bill was happy with this arrangement, so that's what we did.
We can certainly help you with your telescope problems. Relationship problems? That's a whole different ball of wax.
Clear Skies,
Ray Khan
PS The new Celestron CGX mount is the cream of the crop of mid-sized mounts. It actually takes a lot of the frustrations
out of Astro-imaging with it's smartly designed features. We've got them in stock right now.
