Subject: Guess which telescope revolutioned the telescope industry?

 Hello Friend,

I'm sure that many might say it was the Dobsonian telescope.

But I'm really talking about computerized telescopes today.

When Meade Instruments shipped the first computerized "goto" telescope  back in 1992, the LX200 series.
it was the launch of a product that was groundbreaking for the amateur astronomer.

I remember the fork mounts being very sturdy when I first saw one.  And, the telescope had a very professional
look to it.  The Meade deep blue colour was a standout.

The mindblowing image of the International Space Station, taken with the LX200, as it flew over by Boston one day
by an astronomer, at the Hayden Planetarium, in NYC. was killer.  Especially when you consider the speed at which
the space station was travelling, yet the LX200 was able to track it, and grab the image.

The LX200 series has evolved over the past couple of decades into a powerful, imaging and visual  system.

It's actually pretty impressive that this telescope series, has stood the test of time, and with it's technology and optics
also improving all along the way.

Precision motor drives, Advanced Coma-Free Optics, and integration with all manner of devices for CCD imaging,
or digital Astrophotography.

There are four aperture sizes in the series:  8", 10", 12" and 14"

And it's also a rare event when the LX200 actually goes on sale.

Right now, until July 15th , we are offering some substantial savings on the LX200 series.

Here is a link to all the savings.

8" ᅠ LX200 ACF (item# 0810-60-03) -regularly $2833 -Sale Price $2499  You save $334!

PS  I'll never forget the time I showed up with the newly introduced LX200 at a Star Party, just north of Toronto, many

years ago. There was a fellow there with a large dobsonian.  He was really ticked off that I was
using a newfangled computerized telescope, and he packed up his scope in a huff, and took off, without a word said.

I found out later that he felt that it was "cheating" using computerized assistance.
