Hello Friend,

The above is the slogan I read on a young ladies T-shirt this morning on my way back to work.

She was likely about 19-21and of course it's a take-off of the Cyndi Lauper hit from the '80's,
"Girls just want to have fun".

But now it's  2018: and 'Girls just want to have funds."

  Ideally they will be YOUR funds.

Based on the tales of woe I hear at my health club these days, divorce can be very expensive.
Divorce rates are skyrocketing and it's a crying shame. (Except the lawyers aren't the ones crying).

It's a bloody epidemic I tell you and it takes two to tango.

So be sure you pick the right gal (or guy)  to the best of your ability or you too could end up in the poorhouse.

Now, of course, I am jesting just a tad here, but it's not far from the truth either.

The laws in Ontario are pretty much skewed towards being in favour of the "gentler" sex.

Now this was fine and dandy back in the day when it was necessary.

You know, men were the breadwinners, wives stayed at home.  Women and children genuinely
needed the financial support.

Ward Cleaver went to work, and June Cleaver  (Leave it to Beaver tv series)  stayed at home in high heels while she vacuumed the floor.
And wore a lovely set of white pearls to boot. (Imagine YOUR mother ever doing that...mine sure didn't).

Thank goodness we are a long way from that today. Many successful women and men with careers work very hard
and also raise a family at the same time. 

It's not easy, I know because I've been there and done that.

So I strongly suggest that before "Girls just want to have  funds,"  you spend it on something FUN for yourself.

As in "Guys just wanna have fun" plus a case of 24, and a bottle of Scotch perhaps?
