Hope you enjoyed the Canada day weekend.

   I had loads of fun mowing the grass, and knocking off a few   of "honey do" items, on
my sweetie's list.  

I think the list keeps getting longer though.

Fortunately, at the end of the day, a cold beer was well within eyesight.

I've heard that yeast and hops can be good for you.

We've had a few pleasant night skies lately as well, which just add's to the fun.

    In spring, when many amateur astronomers start pulling their instruments out of storage for spring
and summer use, and power them up, all sorts of problems can and do occur.

Lately, we've had a run of telescopes and mounts coming in to the store with electronic issues
keeping our technician busy.

      Here's three  things you want to do to keep your computerized telescope or mount in good order.

1) Check all the power cords, that run to your telescope or mount and make sure that none of them are
     frayed or have small tears in the wires that could cause a shorting problem.

2) Make sure that you are using the proper voltage and polarity as required by the manufacturer of the
    particular telescope or mount you have.  I suggest using the factory authorized power supplies, especially
    when supplying 110AC  Power .
    Sometimes, 3rd party power supplies may cause issues.

3) Update your firmware.   You'll want to make sure that your telescope or mount has the latest firmware/software
    installed in it.  All kinds of bug fixes are resolved this way.  You can download these for free usually right from
    the manufactures website.
