Hello Friend,

                    When the lights go down, and it's pitch dark  it can get a might scary for some.

I knew a professional astronomer that worked at the David Dunlap Observatory several years ago,
and during the long nights of observing/imaging, when it was time to go to the men's room, he
required an escort to go from the observatory, to the administration building, about a 100 feet away,
because he was afraid of the dark.

                   Imagine....an astronomer afraid of the dark.

We all have fears of some kind; personally I am terrified of spiders. Don't like them, and since they
are quite common, in the North country, if I see one, I'll tell me sweetie about it, and she'll have to
"knock it off".

     They are generally bigger up North than the smaller ones you'll find in the city.

As for Bigfoot, while a few adventurers have claimed to have found, or captured one, no one has
produced any real evidence as of yet.

So don't expect to run into one anytime soon.

Not likely to happen while you are observing.

       Yes, you might get a visit from a skunk or raccoon.  Perhaps a moose or deer, depending on
where you live.

      If a black bear shows up...you know what to do, get the heck out of there!

The good news it that the Spring skies are here, and it's time to get your gear out and get observing.

PS Now just in case, someone does present some evidence of a "Bigfoot" one day, I'm willing to keep an open mind.
