Subject: Daytime or Nightime Astronomy? Or Both!!!!
Friend,I remember years ago, (I mean like a long time ago) when I could go observing on a cool fall evening, and staying up tillt he wee hours of the morning observing, get a few hours sleep, and get up and go to work the next day.
Or occassionally, even take in a round of Golf! (oddly enough, some of my best games were played, usually because I was in a light headed euphoric state and therefore just hit the ball without thinking about the setup too much).
Well, those days are long gone and pulling all nighters observing are now few and far between. However, once in a while you get
a really good night, and you just can't pass it up either! How many of you can relate to that?
These days it is a different story, with a little more balance in life, and the ability to observe during the day as well. I am talking about the Sun of course.
Solar Observing! Or H Alpha.
Back in the day, it used to be very expensive to buy a specialized filter system to attach to a telescope and observe the Sun. Plus you had to do
a lot of fooling around with heating up elements to make the system work.
When David Lunt founded Coronado systems several years ago, he changed all that! He wanted to introduce more people to the daytime
wonders of observing the Sun, and he developed the PST (aka personal Solar Telescope) at a very reasonable price.
Unfortunately, David died of Cancer, and his widow sold the Coronado Company to Meade Instruments Corporation who took over production
of the instrument, with the patents, and Meade engineers continued to do further research and development
Now they have released a New Generation of Coronado Solar Viewing instruments of unheard of introductory prices!
I am also pleased to announce that we have just received our very first shipments of this product, and since Khan Scope was the first Company
to place an order for these products, not only are we filling existing orders, but we also have some extra stock available for sale too, at the Introductory Prices.
Now of course, if you take advantage of these deals, we cannot be held responsible for your lack of sleep. Now it is going to be observing at night, Observing during the day; the choice is yours!
Clear Skies! (day or night............)
