      Perhaps you are  being optimistic and hoping for an early Spring   and have
thoughts about astro-imaging.

Otherwise, ground hog stew is looking mighty good!

Now here is a fact: If you have an equatorial mount, loaded with all kinds of gear, and it
exceeds your mounts capabilities, then you are going to run into all sorts of problems
such as:

• poor tracking
• blurry star images
• frustration with balancing your optical tube
• Hours of wasted time

Believe me it is no fun:  Yet I see this occurring on a regular basis.

Our technician deals with the issue every spring. 

  Far too many amateurs overload their mounts with gear, and then
wonder why things do not work out as they had hoped.

The mount is usually overlooked completely when purchasing a telescope, and is only
usually an afterthought.

     Always use a mount that has a higher payload, than you expect to use.
