Subject: Buyer remorse
Hello Friend,
It is a common story we hear over here at khanscope.
And heard another one today.
Customer buys their kid a telescope during the holidays, at a big box store.
Realizes that it is a piece of junk, and the kid loses interest.
Now, people mean well when they try to encourage their children to take
up the hobby of astronomy.
It helps if the child has an interest to begin with.
But if you do not give them the right tools, well it could discourage their
interest forever.
As a general rule, any telescope under $200 is not going to cut the mustard.
Not today anyway.
This particular customer realized that, upped his budget to a more reasonable
amount and walked out the store with this telescope.

An excellent choice, because it is high quality and will do more to
a lot more to encourage the youngsters interest.
A future Carl Sagan perhaps?
It is entirely possible.
Clear Skies,
Ray Khan
PS Neil Degrasse Tyson had a meeting with Carl Sagan, and look where he is
today. (In Toronto tonite, giving a lecture to a starving crowd, that's where).
