Subject: Another wrap for NEAF 2015
Hello Friend,
You meet all kinds of interesting people when you attend events such as NEAF, (Northeastern astronomy Forum)
which was held in Suffern, NY this past weekend.
It can be something as simple as meeting someone that you have done business with in the past, or someone
you may have heard about.
One of the nicest people in the telescope industry, that I've had the pleasure to meet is Craig Weatherwax,
also known as the "boss", who runs a telescope business in Southern California, called OPT.
Another is Gregg Bragg, a sales manager with Explore Scientific. And Scott Roberts founder and President
of Explore.
Jeff Simon, of Skywatcher USA telescopes also brings some great ideas to the
industry as well.
Ben Hauck and Jason Mulek of Celestron. Another couple of hard working guys
(and not just at the bar, either).
Meade Instruments has a new President this year. Victor Aniceto, who brings his many years
of experience in the industry.
And that's just naming a few.
Unfortunately, there is also the other kind too.
They dislike everyone else in the business, because they consider them strictly as competition.
Personally my attitude is that there is enough of the pie for everyone.
What's the point in being greedy and wanting it all?
Life is too short for that kind of stuff.
If you weren't able to make it to NEAF, not to worry, there will be other events later this year right here in Canada,
Astrocats and Starfest, just to name a couple.
Perhaps I'll see you there
Clear Skies,
Ray Khan
