Hello Friend,

        Recently, when arriving to the store on a weekday morning, Alex found what appeared to be a bag of garbage in
front of the main door.

   Turns out, inside the bag was a telescope, with a note attached.

The note said, that the telescope was no longer working properly, and could we at Khan Scope perhaps fix it up
and donate it to a child or school.  It was an 80mm refractor, and it looked like the hand control may have been
dropped.

    Our technician had a look at it.  It was a computerized scope that was about 12 years old.

Parts were no longer available for this particular model, and thus we had to discard most of it,

  However, I decided that since this individual did have a good intention behind it, we could still carry out the
request of donating a telescope to a school.

And so that's what I am going to do.

Turns out a local public school, Palmerston Public school, right inside the city of Toronto is having a fundraiser
for their science curious kids, so we will give them a telescope that some lucky kid will end up with.

And hopefully from that, another seed will be planted for another amateur or possibly a professional astronomer.

One just never really knows, does one?
