Subject: A Planetarium in Sudbury? Yep. Visit Science North!

Hello Friend,

Science North, located in Sudbury, Ontario  (about 4 hours north of Toronto) is well worth a visit if you
happen to be in the area.

Not only do they have a couple of excellent  Planetarium shows   but they also
have some incredible exhibits on hand as well.

While it's mostly for kids, adults can have a very good time as well;  they do have an IMAX theatre.

I'd have to say it's vastly better than the Ontario Science Centre located here in Toronto.

Sudbury was and still is a mining town.

Be sure also to visit the Dynamic Earth which is part of Science North to learn about geology and mining.
Fascinating stuff

You can experience what a miner's life was like in the last century and trust
me on this one: it was tough as hell!

Talk about getting the 'shaft.'    Miners were and had to be a tough lot.

A new exhibit: 101 inventions that changed the world ( The invention of  Beer is hopefully included in that list).

I could go on,

Hope you get a chance to check it out this year.

Clear Skies,

Ray

PS For a fantastic Burger and cheap beer you can visit the Townhouse, Downtown, Sudbury.
Last time I was there, some regular standing outside the door told me  Chubby Checker
(ie The Twist) got his start there.  I think he was probably confused/drunk and meant Canadian Icon Stompin' Tom
Connors  who also wrote a song called: 'Sudbury Saturday Night.'
