Years later, a team of investigators led by Jorge Perez has shed light on this decades-long hidden occurrence. We spoke with Jorge Perez... | | | | Apophis is Coming to Destroy Us!!! Maybe? Maybe Not.
by Darren Marler
You might call it the Death Star, but I won’t because I don’t want to be sued by Disney lawyers. Perhaps that’s why scientists named this giant rock Apophis – because that’s the old Egyptian god of chaos, and the copyright expired hundreds of years ago. Or the scientists were just huge fans of the TV show “Stargate SG-1”. Or both!

February 22, 1803, Hitachi Province, Japan. Fishermen on the Harayadori coast saw a strange vessel drifting in the sea, which they towed to land. It was about 10 feet high and 18 feet wide. Its shape reminded them of a kōro or Japanese incense burner.
Most shockingly, a small, young woman just under 5 feet tall with red hair made longer by white extensions, which they said could have been made of white fur or thin textile strips. Her skin was pale pink, and her clothing was made of “unknown fabrics.” She spoke in an “unknown” language and clutched a “small box” that she would not allow them to touch.
Reportedly, the men helped her back into her “boat” and allowed her to drift away to return to where she came from. Many have speculated that the young woman was an extraterrestrial in some sort of amphibious craft. | | | | Hey NASA, Nessie on Line One!
