Nearly 5 years back, I was considering whether to buy our
current house.

(That's a story spoiler right there! Darn - now you KNOW I
bought it).

Anyhow, the sale was all ready to go... finance approved,
relatives approved, wife approved, met the neighbors too.

But there was one nagging problem...

The driveway was a little steep. Not only that, but it peaked at
a sharp angle before flattening out to the parking area.

That meant low cars might scrape their bottom on it.

As it happened, I had a low car at that time... a Mercedes SL500
sports coupe.

I've since got the latest model AND added another low sports car
- but that's a tale for another day.

So the sale of this house was hinging on whether my immaculate
sports car would crest the rise - without scraping the underside
- and ruining the car AND the sale.

I decided to put it to the test a day before we were about to
sign.

It was crazy.

The whole sale depended on my car passing this test.

Because there was no way I would put it into downtown storage -
I enjoyed driving it too much.

That afternoon I eased the car up the drive, my teeth already
gritted in expectation of a loud crunching sound as the concrete
ate up my expensive AMG bodywork.

Carefully, carefully...

Would it pass? I peered over the side as the car inched up the
incline to the hump.

And...

Yes! The car passed over the hump with - as I found out later -
just a centimeter (less than half an inch) to spare.

So we bought the house.

I relaxed for a day or two.

And then along came something quite interesting.

I found if I didn't position the car at just the right angle
arriving or departing the garage - it would scrape the bottom.

That was a big surprise.

Yes, after all the worry over my test, the first run was really
just a fluke... a chance angle that got me through.

I still had to watch my driving every time after that.

This morning, it struck me - like a thunderbolt out of the blue.

This was exactly the way we play the lottery.

The first stage - the system purchase - is nerve-wracking...

Will the system work, or will it make an expensive crashing
noise?

We wonder whether to take a chance. After all, everything hinges
on our ability to buy a great system and make it pass over the
winning hump.

Then we buy it... and try it...

And the system passes the test.

Phew! It wasn't as bad as we expected.

But then comes the second stage, and that's where we could
easily trip up and scrape our bottoms.

We have to be aware each time that our system is working just
the right way so our expensive investment doesn't get damaged.

A lot of players get past the first test OK... they buy a system
and it passes the test. Maybe it has enough testimonials to make
them feel comfortable about the purchase.

Then comes the weekly play... the equivalent of driving the car
each time and making sure it passes over the hump at the right
angle.

This requires both a small amount of skill and stickability to
see the system through.

But the point is to TRY it... then USE it.

Break through the barriers that stop you from getting over the
scary hump.

When you do, the rewards are huge, like the $3.2 milllion won by
Maher M. - our biggest winner so far.


One other thing...

The new automagic project I wrote you about in the last email is
shooting ahead like a rocket.

But there's still a lot to do.

It's maybe a week or two away yet.

That will give you some time to get excited about it!
