You know that statement's wrong as soon as you see it: 'Never
trust a skinny chef.'

Yet it just seems right. But it's not.

I know a skinny chef, and he is a great cook... but it is his
metabolism that makes him thin as a rake - not the fact that he
doesn't like to test his own food.

Here's another: 'If it looks too good to be true, it usually is.'

I'd like to put that opinion in front of the late Steve Jobs and
his iPhone and iPad. Two products that have changed the world,
and gave more than they promised.

They were indeed too good to be true.

There are plenty of catchphrases that seems to have a ring of
truth about them, but when you look further into their
predictions, they fail.

Lottery products seem to get a lot of this kind of comment. I
guess it's because few people believe that anyone can predict
random numbers.

But as I'm fond of pointing out to the uninformed - I dont
actually predict in a real sense. I just withdraw the numbers
that have been proven NOT to win, leaving a small number to trust
on luck.

Don't believe me? Have you ever seen 1,2,3,4,5,6 or
36,37,38,39,40 come up as a jackpot? Very unlikely. Not fully
impossible of course, because all numbers are random - but enough
for me to wipe from the huge pool of potentials.

There are more combinations than most people realize. And once
they are all removed, then good ol' luck and chance comes into
effect.
