PARTAKE exhibition opening / english language program v4Participation: Fostering education on participatory processes in urban and regional planning
18.30 - introduction 19.00 - opening ceremony and discussion
Exhibition PARTAKE is a showcase of the participatory research done by the students of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. During the 2019 summer semester, students were working on three specific assignments related to the spatial issues of Novo naselje neighborhood in Novi Sad. The work was conducted through a participatory process communicating the interest and preferences of the citizens. Having a focus on the process - and not on the final design - exhibited works stress the need to integrate theory and practice of public participation and represent the educational input in creating a long term partnership with local community. These ideas reflect the goals of the project v4Participation: Fostering education on participatory processes in urban and regional planning – a collaborative platform consisted of university and civil society partners from Serbia, Hungary, Czechia and Poland and financed by the Visegrad Fund.
