Mallory Madigan is tiny Meadow Lake’s town doctor. She’s lived there her whole life and wants nothing more than to continue to serve the community in the family medical practice.

When a saboteur begins disrupting people’s lives, Mallory’s own life is upended as she ends up becoming a default tour guide for Jason Siegfried, the town’s newly retained attorney.

Jason isn’t very interested in small-town life, but he’s good at his job. Mallory is sure he’ll help prove that Tugwell Construction, a pushy developer that wants to make inroads into Meadow Lake, is behind the sabotage.

But how can it ever work, if he’s from a big city and she’s a small-town girl?
