Running from a troubled past, Abby stumbles from a broken-down car, through snowy fields, to Scott’s front porch. Initially, she doesn’t trust him at all, but Scott’s kindness, along with the compassion all of his friends show her and their clear love for one another and abiding faith in God, eases the hurt in her broken heart.

As she begins to let herself believe in the possibility of hope and love again, though, all shadows from her past are reaching up to try and drag her back in.
