Finn Harkrider lives and works in Chicago, but the highlight of his year is always to come back to his childhood home, small town Wilmont Lodge, for Christmas.

And this year, he gets to bring his fiancée, Rachel, to meet his whole family. After Rachel doesn’t quite settle in the way he hoped, Finn’s world is turned upside down, and the cracks in their relationship are exposed.

When Rachel refuses to participate in activities, Ella March, a family friend, joins Finn in sledding and all the sundry Wilmont Lodge Christmas fun.

As Finn’s relationship implodes, he and Ella dance around their obvious attraction to one another. It’s way too soon…right? 

But when an accident puts their lives on the line, Ella and Finn discover what is most important—and that love follows no set time line.
