Ben Yancey takes a small group of people out for a week of survival training. Not sure where he fits in with the Cartwright Wilderness Outfitters, he’s nevertheless determined to give it his best.
Like Nash Cartwright, he’s recently been discharged from the army, and with his experience in wilderness survival and training, Nash wants him on his team. With two tragedies behind her, an unshakable faith in God, and a secret, Melinda Davenport joins the group that’s heading out for a week.
It isn’t long before the attraction she feels for Yancey begins to fill her with a sense of guilt. She should divulge her secret, but worries that it might damage their growing attraction to one another. Then Mother Nature intervenes, threatening the safety of the group during a surprise mid-summer snowstorm. A wounded bear in the area is another threat, along with being stranded on a mountain, with no way to get back to safety.
• Will Melinda confess her sins? Will Yancey forgive her?
• Will her past come back to haunt her?
• Will Yancey be able to save the group from Mother Nature’s wrath?
