Hi Friend,
I was filing a stack of intake forms when something caught my eye. While sifting through the documents I noticed that most of them had one thing in common as a chief complaint.
On the first page of my assessment form I ask, “what are your top three complaints?” What I expect to see are hormonal imbalances, anxiety, depression, weight gain, and digestive issues.
But the one that really stood out was …
That’s not exactly a surprise. Women everywhere are tired. But what is a bit of a shocker is they don’t talk about it. They talk about not being able to lose weight around the middle, feeling stressed and overwhelmed, dealing with anxiety or depression, waking up in the middle of the night – especially between 1 AM and 4 AM.
They hardly ever come right out and say, “I’m tired.”
The more I thought about this, the more I realized that being tired has become an accepted way of being.
Tired? Oh well.
Tired? Too bad, push through it.
Tired? Who isn’t?
It’s interesting that even though it’s one of the top three chief complaints, it rarely comes up in conversation. Which is why I always ask.
Ladies, let me be perfectly clear. You do not have to settle for being tired all the time. Tired steals your energy, your mental clarity, your ability to appreciate the little things, and your health. Your body (mental, emotional, and physical) cannot heal properly if it’s tired all the time.
When I meet with someone who’s trying to make positive changes in their health, it’s important to prioritize overwork and exhaustion. If someone is exhausted and that state isn’t addressed, it will undo everything else. According to Dr. Edward Bach, if the person won't rest (overworking, pushing through the tiredness no matter what), no balance or healing can happen.
If being tired all the time, overworked, or exhausted are part of your top three health concerns, please consider making rest a priority. It will change your life. If getting started is getting in your way, please consider scheduling a free discovery call. Together we’ll make a plan to reclaim your energy and reignite your passion for life!
