I can't think of one person I know who actually likes the shorter days and longer nights of winter. There's usually lots of comments about it and none of them are good.
Less natural light not only lowers our energy levels, it can make us feel moody and out of sorts. And in some instances, we may experience seasonal affective disorder (SAD) which can start in late Fall and last the entire winter.

| | FOOD FOCUS: MOOD BOOSTING SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS: 1 large banana, frozen 1 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen) 1 1/2 cups almond, coconut, hemp or rice milk 2 Tablespoons hemp seeds (can substitute hemp powder) 2 Tablespoons cacao nibs or powder 1 cup kale or leafy greens, tightly packed
Blend and serve. Makes 2 servings. Enjoy!
