Welcome to Day 1 of the Prep phase for the fall program!

As excited as you may be to get started right away with meal plans and trying new, healthy foods, first we have to do some prep work in your kitchen. You need the right tools to set the stage for success otherwise it’s all too easy to revert back to old habits.

In this preparation phase, you’ll become familiar with the eating plan, take action steps every day, and create a positive mindset for yourself. You will also prepare your body and begin eliminating foods on the DO NOT EAT LIST, such as sugar, coffee, and processed foods. There are no specific meals to prepare in this phase but you’re encouraged to try meals from the Recipe Guide.

Today’s Action Steps:

1. Refer to the DO NOT EAT LIST and start cleansing your kitchen. Eliminate all foods that are not part of the program.

2. Start cutting out caffeine, alcohol, sodas, sugar, processed foods and allergenic foods like wheat, eggs, and dairy.

Next Steps:

• Start looking through the meal plan and food list, taking note of recipes that you like and new foods you would like to try.

• Purchase BPA-free food containers and any other tools or gadgets that will make cooking easier for you.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life and even though it will take a little work, I promise you’ll get to where you want to be.
