Welcome to Day 1 of the Detox phase!
Let’s get this party started! Woo-hoo!
In this detox phase we’re focusing on the types of foods to eat, those that are whole foods that will naturally nourish our bodies without added chemicals and preservatives.
Here are some of my success tips to prepare you for this phase: A. Batch cook and meal prep as much as you can throughout this program. Use BPA-free containers and glass jars to store your food. There’s a whole section in the guide about batch cooking so be sure to go back to refresh your mind and review.
B. If you need to swap a recipe because you don’t like certain ingredients, are allergic, or if you plan to eat out, do not worry. Try and match the recipe to the best of your ability or ask for a clean and healthy detox meal at the restaurant, like a salad with avocado, protein and olive oil with the juice of a lemon.
C. Stay calm. Stress is a significant toxin. Schedule blocks of time for self-care and relaxation.
Today’s Action Steps:
1. Did you write in your food diary today? After every meal record what you ate and how you felt. Your food diary will be a vital source of knowledge and may reveal a hidden intolerance to certain foods.
2. Eat mini meals throughout the day to keep you feeling full.
