Phase 2: Day 1 Tips
It’s finally here! Let’s dive in! Make sure you’re following the tips we went over in Phase 1 and be sure you’ve read through your Program Guide for this phase. You should have completed at least some of your grocery shopping and be ready to rock and roll!
If for some reason you feel you need to extend the preparation phase, by all means, please do so! This journey is yours, so listen to your body and just continue to take this one step at a time.
Make sure you are making it easy on yourself by:
- Planning ahead and prepping your meals the night before.
- If you are working, pack your meal for the day and include healthy snacks so you don’t get stuck feeling hungry, because there’s no reason for that!
- Filling your BPA-free water bottle with plenty of water and lemon to flush toxicity throughout the day.
- Packing some tea bags in case you feel cold during the day.
Day 1 is all about getting used to this program. If you haven’t done so already, be sure to look at the snack guide and choose two or three yummy snacks to keep with you anywhere you go.
If you notice you’re feeling light-headed, drink more water and make sure you are eating enough protein. You will notice that the meals are vegetarian-based with a choice to add a plant- or animal-based protein. I encourage you to add protein to your lunch and dinner to decrease any feelings of light-headedness.
There is a lot to learn but don’t stress! All of this information is to empower you to get to know your body. Remember, if you feel overwhelmed, continue to take it one step at a time. You can always refer back to this information at another time.
