There is hardly a day goes by now without me hearing about someone else who has either been scammed out of KBC or KCB or got a phishing email attempting to scam them.

If you look right down below you can see an image of an example email that is currently going around. It is totally FAKE! Anyone clicking on a link in this type of email will almost certainly have the contents of their crypto wallet stolen.

I am beginning to think now that a few of my own colleagues in Karatbars have suffered this type of fate already.

Here is an unbreakable rule you should follow. And it is NEVER click a link in an email from the Karatbars organisation, even if it looks official, that suggests that, by doing so, you will receive some financial reward.

The only emails with a link that needs to be clicked are those you generated yourself (lost password/password reset request etc.) or something generated by a new application or withdrawal/deposit you just made (verification type email).

Never, ever give anyone your wallet private key or access to your wallet through some other means. It is safe to send a wallet address if you need to but nothing more. People are, unbelievably, sending private key information and passwords when asked to do so. Then they have their assets stolen.

Cryptocurrency is a fantastic thing that comes with great opportunities for growth but it is a big target for thieves and scammers. Think of your private keys and passwords in the same way as you would think of your pocket wallet stuffed full of cash. Leave it laying around and open to access and some people out there will walk away with the contents.

Please be careful and remember, the email example below is an out and out fake designed purely to steal crypto from you! If you get an email you are unsure of from Karatbars, forward it to me and I will tell you if it is legit or not.
