Hi Friend,
Time has been flying. It has been two years that we published our first LitRPG market book market report. (Lit...R...P...What? Please read on.) In the meantime, a lot has happened.
Steven Spielberg's movie adaptation of "Ready Player One" achieved a box office total of 137 million in the U.S. alone. And the book itself became Amazon's most sold fiction book in 2018!
OK, neither had Ready Player One been marketed as LitRPG nor as GameLit; at the time, it was a simply referred to as a dystopian cyberpunk novel. However, it ticks off many aspects of GameLit and even LitRPG. And the book's popularity certainly helped the LitRPG/GameLit genre and pulled it into the limelight of mainstream entertainment.
The search interest on Google for "LitRPG" more than doubled over the last two years. The book supply in the genre more than quadrupled. Total sales and royalties went up significantly compared to 2017.
I am therefore proud to announce our 2019 ebook market report for LitRPG (role-playing game literature) and GameLit (game literature.)
We expanded our report to cover both LitRPG in its narrow definition and branch out into the broader field of "less crunchy" GameLit.
We also include exciting new analyses of Kindle Unlimited vs. Non-KU books, long-term category trends, new pricing charts, series vs. standalone titles and more.
The 90-page report comes with one hour of video-coverage.
